Recently, the Blaine County School Board was forced into the painful process of budget cuts thanks to a $2 million shortfall engineered by the Governors’ office. We need to contact our elected officials to recoup as much school funding as possible for our district. 

Supplemental funding will be up for debate starting Monday, March 4 and the Joint Finance-Appropriations Committee (JFAC) will decide whether to release the money by mid-March. 

We have power and the time to act on behalf of students is now. Use the template below to urge members of the Joint Finance-Appropriations Committee to release the $162 million already promised to Idaho’s Schools, including $1.5 million for Blaine County School District. In our efforts to end hunger, we know a good education can be the ticket to a better life and we fight so all kids have a fair shot at success.
