IMPORTANT UPDATE: The Hunger Coalition has made big changes to our food pantry since the COVID-19 outbreak hit Blaine County. We now offer a curbside food distribution every Monday and Thursday at 121 Honeysuckle Street in Bellevue and starting June 4, we will host our Ketchum distribution at Hemingway Elementary school from 3:30 – 4:30 p.m. instead of Church of the Big Wood. Simply drive up to one of the locations and Hunger Coalition staff will walk bags of grocery staples out to your car.
Should you find yourself in need of food assistance during these challenging times, we have three weekly food distributions open to all who need supplemental groceries. No qualifying documentation required.

NUTRITION PHILOSOPHY
We recognize the increasing role that our programs play in providing healthful foods to community members in need and take this responsibility seriously. We want our participants to know that their health and preferences for more nutritious foods are among our highest considerations in acquiring food. We also recognize that many types of foods can fit into a balanced diet and that every individual we serve has food preferences. We will focus on providing nutrient rich foods and variety while taking into account the ‘choice-pantry’ model, cultural appropriateness, living situations and caloric requirements. We honor the individual’s ability to exercise choice in food selection. We hope to help guide healthier choices by using educational ‘nudges’ such as suggested recipes, ‘green-light’ labeled foods, and by offering predominately nutritious foods.
